CLUB'S LIBRARIAN CORNER
============================
By Oscar Kraehenbuehl
Have you heard that Library selections are now available on 3.5" disks ?
Whether you have a IIC+ or would just prefer your software on the smaller
disks, you may order any ProDOS catalog selections on that medium. One, two
or three disks (5 sides maximum) may be ordered. The cost, including
postage, is $2 per disk with one selection and $4 per disk of two or three
selections. The 9/1 revision of the Catalog Disk has detailed information
and an order form.
GS owners should be alert to the fact that some of the software in our
library, particularly utility programs, may not work with all versions of
the system software. The programs were written over a period when the
operating system was changing from ProDOS 16 to System Version 4.0 and now
to V5.0. If known, such info will be included in a program's docs or
description, but it is usually omitted. So be careful or aware of this
potential problem when you transfer a library program to a disk other than
the one on which it was supplied. (All the latest GS library disks still
use System 4.0.)
Our "FLIPSIDE" programs this issue are quite varied. We've put together a
series of cuties you'll find enjoyable. The "MOIRE" file was presented in
an earlier Bits and Bytes issue as a program to be keyed in. Here it is
now all done for you. Enjoy them all!
